Gratitude Practices for the Holiday Season
As the holidays quickly approach, it’s a great opportunity to tune into the energy of gratitude. The holidays are often a time of gathering with loved ones, celebrating festivities, and practicing gratitude for how much abundance we have in our lives. Below are some ways to reflect and express gratitude as you move through this holiday season
Awareness
Take a moment to look both outside of yourself and within yourself, to become more aware of all of the blessings in your life that you have to be grateful for. Challenge your current level of awareness to find things you may have overlooked and ways you can become more aware of all of the gifts that surround you in your everyday life.
Journaling
Put pen to your thoughts and make a gratitude list. Even if it’s full of small everyday things, write them out and take time to absorb what you’ve written. You might surprise yourself on the little things that you may have taken for granted.
Meditating
Set an intention for a daily meditation practice to focus on the gratitude you hold in your life. Practicing visual meditations that keep the mind active in its acknowledgement for gratitude, can greatly place the focus on all of the blessings that surround you.
Nourishment
Practice self-sustenance through honoring your mind, body, and spirit. In what ways can you give more to yourself? Nourishing all aspects of yourself is the ultimate form of gratitude for the life you’ve been given.
Gifting
Gratitude is best felt when giving to others and what better time to do so than the holiday season? Get creative and thoughtful in the ways that you can give back to those you love, with gratitude.
