As the new year approaches, it’s a great time to set some goals for your yoga practice. No matter where you are in your yoga journey, you can set goals for the new year to help you step onto the mat with a fresh perspective. Here is a guideline for setting your own resolutions this upcoming year.

Set an Intention

The first thing we recommend is choosing an intention for your New Year’s practice. This could be improvement, consistency, education, etc. Choose something that resonates with you at this point in time of your practice.

Set a Resolution

Next, we recommend choosing where you want to be at the end of the year. Is there a particular goal you wish to achieve that aligns with your intention? This could be achieving a certain posture or any form of measurable success for your particular resolution.

Set a Timeline

Divide the year up into measurable periods, such as quarters, to help you track your progress. This may look different for everyone, depending on how much of your time you want to dedicate toward achieving your resolution.

Set a few Markers

Due to life being life and its never-ending circumstances, be sure to set some markers within your timeline to help establish motivational points, resting periods, reminders, etc to serve as inspiration to help you reach your goal.

Celebrate

Now take a moment to celebrate everything before the year begins.

We hope you all enjoy a beautiful New Year’s with your loved ones and create some beautiful resolutions for your 2025 yoga practice. Visit our weekly class schedule here to join us on the mat in the New Year.
