Grab your partner for some fun and upbeat partnering poses that you can do right in your home or at the end of a regular yoga class. These are really playful positions to try with your loved one for a fun challenge and a great test of your communication skills. Check them out below.

Airplane

For this pose, one partner lays flat on their back and places their leg up in the air. The second partner stands at the other partner’s feet, placing them at the hips and reaching for the hands. From here, the first partner can start to leverage the weight backwards to lift the other partner up in the air. This is a really fun pose that can bring back childhood memories with your loved one.

Stacked Down Dog

This pose can be achieved by partners taking down dogs heels to heels. From here, one partner can lift their legs and place their feet on the hips of the other partner. You may have to walk a little closer to find the perfect balance on the sitting bones. This one might be challenging to hold and can be so much to find the perfect balance.

Stacked Plank

This pose is really fun to practice and can be achieved by one partner taking a plank pose and the other partner stacking themselves on top of the other. One partner can lay flat on the floor while the partner places their hands at the heels and feet at the shoulders of the other partner. From there, the base partner will press up to a plank. This one is probably one of the most popular to try and is a favorite partnering pose for many.

Boat Pose

For this one, both partners can sit facing one another and link arms. As you rock back, place your legs in the air meeting at the soles of the feet. You can keep the knees bent or straighten them. This pose is great for finding balance with your partner.

Tuck to Stand

This pose can be done by sitting back to back and tucking your knees into your chest. As you press against one another’s back, see if you can rise to stand. This one is actually harder than you may think, but can be really fun to play with.

Practicing these for fun every so often or on a regular basis can be a really fun activity for you and your loved one after a yoga class, or even for fun at home.
